Only because he was so disappointed and frustrated about not performing was he able to summon the energy to do a few concerts in Madras, Bangalore, and Bombay, and to make a cassette tape for the AVM company. Previously, he had made three long-playing commercial records. On the whole, the trip was a very depressing one for him, and he was looking forward to returning and performing under better circumstances.
